As it is 30 years ago this year (1988-2018), we just have to start right at the beginning with
My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult aka Thrill Kill Kult/TKK, and their first album
I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits. TKK was formed by
Frankie Nardiello aka Groovie Mann and
Marston Daley aka Buzz McCoy after touring together with
Ministry.
Wax Trax! Records heard their early material (originally to soundtrack a film that was never completed/released) and
signed them up. TKK were hugely successful, initially focusing on faux satanic themes but later with groovy, lounge grinding beats. TKK are celebrating their 30th anniversary by
touring the USA this April. If you have not worshipped at the altar of the Thrill Kill Kult then
I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits is a great place to start…
There are
USA and
European test pressing LPs, rare
Wax Trax!
UK editions for collectors to look out for. The album has been reissued by
Wax Trax! Records/TVT (1993),
Rykodisc (2004) and
most recently in 2016, digitally via the band's own
SleazeBox Records label including availability in hi-res WAV format.
