Revolting Cocks' second proper album Beers, Steers + Queers was released in May 1990 (so the 28th anniversary has just passed!). It was released by Wax Trax! Records (USA) and Wax Trax! Europe (UK/Europe). It was enormously successful and three singles were released from the album: Stainless Steel Providers, (Let's Get) Physical and Beers, Steers & Queers. The second single, (Let's Get) Physical, is actually a cover version of an Olivia Newton-John track - the original version did not get past her lawyers at the time, but it has subsequently been made available (see bonus section below). Samples abound all over the album - see if you can spot those from the films 2010 and Evil Dead II. Being such a big album, it has been reissued many times by Devotion (UK 1992), Wax Trax!/TVT (USA 1994) and Rykodisc (USA/UK 2004) and Cleopatra (USA 2014). Collectors should look out for the original Wax Trax! Europe editions, the USA picture disc LP and Cleopatra's coloured vinyl reissues on clear or copper.

We've now covered Revolting Cocks' first three Wax Trax! albums and the great news is that you can get all of them together, along with additional bonus tracks and related Uncle Al music, as part of the Ministry Trax! Box super deluxe box set. It was originally released for Record Store Day in 2015 as a limited edition physical box set but you can still get the whole thing digitally even in FLAC quality. At the time of release we actually did a whole article all about the box set including an unboxing video and interview with the designer.

The expanded, remastered 13 track reissue of the Beers, Steers + Queers album is also available, on its own, via Rykodisc (CD) / Cleopatra (digital).
